Laoer

Lao Er was found on the roadside in 2022.

Not long after arriving home, he was diagnosed with parvovirus. It was a difficult time, and we stayed with him through the night hoping he would pull through.

He did.

Over the following years, Lao Er became part of everyday life. Walks, meals, quiet afternoons, and ordinary moments slowly became memories.

In 2025, Lao Er passed away due to meningitis.

His time with us was not long, but he will always remain part of our family.

This record preserves the life of a companion who was loved and remembered.

We stayed awake beside him, unsure of what the next morning would bring.

When the sun came up and he was still there, it felt like we had been given more time together.
